Sir - I'm absolutely incensed that me and my family have been entrapped by Aldi Worcester, into a £70 parking fine, when I spent 34 minutes shopping for my family of four within the Aldi Store, Worcester.

This shopping trip was for my daughter's upcoming birthday celebrations. On my daughter's birthday today, we received the letter, informing us we were being fined.

As we were concentrating on parking safely in the extremely busy car park, we didn't see any signs.

We also have a very large vehicle which is extremely difficult to park within the very restricted car park, so a large proportion of our so-called 'over-stay' was spent parking our vehicle safely, which would be clearly visible on the store's CCTV system.

I would like to know how spending 34 minutes to do a full family shop is in anyway deem-able as an 'over-stay'.

It is absolutely disgraceful that a store like Aldi, which professes to be a store that offers food at low prices so poor people can afford to eat, can then willingly and knowingly climb into bed with a company that rips off the same customers Aldi receives money from!

If the letter shows CCTV footage of us entering and leaving the car park, then the store's CCTV also shows us entering and leaving the Aldi store!!

We were even served by the deputy store manager at the till, who in no way made any attempt to inform us or remind us of the new car parking system, which leaves me to believe that Aldi store staff are fully supportive of this dreadful money stealing scam.

We have given Aldi store Worcester years of very good custom and feel completely betrayed, and absolutely will not shop at this con-man's shop again. It is rip-off Britain at its worst!

Mrs M Watson-Gold.
