SIR - Your article entitled Police Slammed over Snoop Stats on Monday, October 27 may seem to have a point but the unmentioned assumption of people like Emma Carr of Big Brother Watch is that several magistrates are necessarily more trustworthy than our British police force.
I would trust our police force with sensitive information before I would trust several of the local magistrates I have known for many years.
In fact many magistrates are little more than local politicians connected to our political parties!
Give me the British police as Big Brother any day!
