Sir - It's a pity Neil Laurenson has chosen to take issue with UKIP being seen as the "party of the people" rather than the Green Party (letter 3rd Nov).
If the Green Party were truly the party of the people they would be doing somewhat better in the polls, rather than consistently being in single figures.
If the Green Party were truly the party of the people they would also be observing Remembrance Sunday like the rest of "The People" rather than staging an impromptu and deeply disrespectful poppy-free peace campaign, as they did in Rochester and Strood last Sunday.
And if Worcester News readers still need convincing how dangerous the Green Party can be when they gain power, just Google 'Green Disaster Brighton' and judge for yourself if refuse collection strikes, raised taxes and 'meat free Mondays' are for you, and whether you would be one of "The People" who support them.
