Sir -I would like to add my voice to those who 'Slapped down' Joy Squires about not trusting the Tories on subject of the NHS.
Others on this page have made some of the same points that I was going to on our local hospital ie massive financial burden of PFI, 100 beds short and woefully inadequate parking provision etc etc. However one of the fundamental cock-ups made by the last government on the NHS was that they agreed new individual GP contracts of @ £160,000 (I believe) without any out of hours provision which is currently putting massive pressure on and costing the hospital A & E departments dearly. (The primary care experiment clearly didn't work).
People who are ill can't see their GP in the late evenings/night time and weekends because they are not available so they go to the local A & E.
What a mess left by Labour, they certainly can't be trusted on the NHS.
Mr B Davison.
