Sir - Saving taxpayers money has never been a Labour Party strong-point, especially here in Worcester. Many of your readers will, I am sure, remember the debacle when they themselves tried to close part of Cripplegate Park in order to build a Cooperative Supermarket for their friends when, had they concerned themselves with getting the grass cut more cheaply, we all would be paying less council tax now.
Well done the Tories, at least they are trying to save the Worcester taxpayers some money in the future. Stanley Markwell
