SIR - With regards to the lady who was given a parking fine in the Trinity on a loading bay where the sign was partly obscured and visibility was not good and displaying a disabled badge on her car.

More consideration could have been shown and perhaps a warning note issued instead.

It was probably upsetting and a fine she could ill afford so perhaps they could amend the little red book so traffic wardens weren't so mechanical and showed compassion.

The north side of St Swithins Street was for disabled parking but with the de-regulation of taxis and now the city is swamped with them the council have given taxis priority to park there.
