sir - There is no doubt that A&E at Royal Worcestershire Hospital is experiencing intolerable pressure at the moment, but the current headlines are very negative (as is so often the case with the media coverage of the NHS).
My mother was admitted to A&E at Worcester at the end of March, where they immediately diagnosed her pneumonia, and preceded to give her the best possible care until she was admitted to a respiratory ward.
The wonderful staff at A&E and on Laurel 2 Ward saved her life, and we have nothing but gratitude for their hard work.
It is about time the government properly acknowledge the terrible problems the NHS are facing, and give them the annual funding they urgently need. In the meantime, a big thank you to Royal Worcestershire
