SIR - When getting our council tax reminder, it always states why there is an increase in the bill.
I find this hilarious because it states "police funding", but where are the police to safeguard the public?
Every time you look at a paper some awful tragedy has happened - people being attacked walking along the street or things being vandalised are commonplace.
Yet they expect the public to keep paying out extra tax. It is time we had a more satisfactory service in return - we could do with a police officer on every street corner now.
Let's see more police on the beat.
