SIR – On Thursday, July 28, I was approached by a charming girl who asked if my name was Mavis.
She then told me that my husband had had a fall on Lloyds steps.
How she found me in the whole of Evesham I don’t know.
I found a bewildered Gordon, not from the bang on his head, but by all the kindness he’d been shown.
From the nurse, a bank customer who did an initial check – thank you, from the medics and ambulance crew who came so promptly and were so very caring – thank you, for the bank lassie who in the pouring rain got us a taxi – thank you, and mostly from Deb the bank manager who monitored Gordon the whole time, put us in a paid for taxi and gave us a farewell wave and who did a follow-up phone call the next morning to see if all was well – thank you.
What a considerate and caring team we have at our Lloyds.
I was a complete stranger and I am so grateful and not even a Lloyds customer – yet!
Mavis and Gordon Ballard
