SIR -While we should welcome the good news that the EU is to allow us to continue using imperial measurements, we should not overlook the fact that it is the EU, not our Government, which has made this decision.
Does this not prove beyond doubt that it is Brussels that govern this country? They make the laws, we only implement them and if Gordon Brown signs the forthcoming constitution the EU can always turn tail later.
