SIR - There must be many people who object to the bitter campaign being waged against two independent councillors by the local Labour party.
The comments made by Mike Foster and Richard Udall after the re-election of Margaret and Mike Layland, were unpleasant and offensive.
I remember when the Labour party was trying to sell off Cripplegate Park years ago. Mrs Layland stood in the park and campaigned for signatures against this. I admired her courage then for going against her own party, and also now for standing up to the bullying of Labour activists.
She and Mike Layland are respected for the years of hard work and integrity they have shown on behalf of the citizens of Worcester, regardless of party politics.
