SIR – I was very pleased to learn that the Premiership trophy would be at Barclays bank on the High Street, especially as I am a Manchester United fan.

However, I was horrified and disgusted at being told by the security man that I wasn’t allowed to take “pictures of other people’s children” when in fact I was trying to take a picture of the trophy!

I’d like to thank Barclays for the opportunity to see the trophy but perhaps they ought to consider how appropriate it is for security staff to imply that people taking pictures of it are paedophiles if a child happens to be standing by the trophy.

Worcester.
