SIR – I agree entirely with John Shearon’s letter regarding the council hiring consultants to do the work we already employ highly paid staff to do.
I reiterate the recent comments of Ian Brough and myself concerning the top highways chief being employed by Kent council on two days a week. Is this called balancing the books?
