SIR – In reply to Una Dunnett, (Letters September 25) you appear to imply a racial or cultural motivation for my letter. This is nowhere implied.
I had a four-inch high wooden border around a grave to prevent plants being strimmed off and was requested to remove it.
If you tend a grave at Astwood, may I suggest you read the rules and regulations about what can or cannot be placed on or around graves.
Unfortunately, the council wish to apply only some.
Rules apply to ensure an equilibrium between all cultures to avoid offence to any person or culture.
Let’s hope the council will take note.
LORRAINE HINE,
Worcester.
