SIR – Why are we having so many charity bags pushed through our doors? In the last week I have had three and they are getting very fussy about what they want. You only have so much bedding, curtains and good clothes to give away.

Now to the buses. I live in Solitaire Avenue. The number 22 Crown bus comes up twice a day. There should have been one at 9.55am. I waited outside at 9.50am. By 10am there I was still waiting. I could go up to St David’s church hall and wait for a bus which would take me all the way round, via the college, taking 30 minutes, or I could walk up to the college gates and catch the bus there, which would take 15 minutes. So can someone tell me why the college has two bus stops inside the grounds and one outside by the gates? Why can’t the college kids walk to the end of the gates to catch the bus in Oldbury Road? We are forgetting the general public and the students are getting it easy at the moment, with their bus stops and their cars being parked on pavements, making it very difficult for prams and wheelchairs.
