Sir – Being close to retirement age and registered disabled I am appalled that from the middle of this month I will be unable to park my car outside my own house during the day.
This, apparently, is to improve bus services in the area and to assist our student population in their travel. It’s a shame free travel was stopped before 9.30am for pensioners – second class citizens. I would suggest that certain members of the council park in Comer Road any day of the week between midnight and 5am, yes, 5am, and observe the drunken antics of some of this student population. Only then will they see the type of person they are trying to assist.
