Sir – My wife and I recently returned from a visit to Worcester and were extremely moved by the action taken by almost everyone acknowledging the two minutes’ silence at 11am on November 11 in the High Street. A couple could even be seen standing in the Marks & Spencer restaurant. We should all take heart from Worcester’s response. Let’s hope the rest of the country followed suit.
