SIR - Regarding your article about the clamping on the old Courts car park, under the new laws there should be plenty of noticeable, clear and unambiguous signs making the situation perfectly clear.
The only two signs that did exist had to be pointed out to me and did not conform to this directive. The signs did not contain other languages, were unlit and not positioned at eye level so that they could be noticed.
The company did not charge a reasonable fee of less than £100 as stated in the law - or are they flouting it by imposing their charges before the law came into effect on May 3? The signs went up just prior to this date.
Your readers should also check the location on their receipt, as I was towed away in a place named Worchester - wherever that is!
COLIN BALL,
Kingswinford.
