SIR - Our final two days as mayor and mayoress of this great city of ours was very busy with four engagements on Monday, May 15, and one big one the next day with Gary Lineker. Then it was full council in the evening when the new mayor was elected. I would like to express my sincere thanks to Bob Blandford, who brilliantly edited my diary throughout my year.
