SIR – On August 6 the paper reported that Worcester Labour Party has thrown its support behind David Miliband in his bid to become leader.

Most of those now running for the Labour Party leadership supported the invasion of Iraq, rising as one to salute Tony Blair’s final appearance in the House of Commons. As foreign secretary, David Miliband sought to cover Britain’s complicity in torture and promoted Iran as the next “threat”. Is this the “experience on the world stage” that Joy Squires and the Worcester Labour Party admire? Oh dear.
