SIR – Regarding your story (Rat run to be turned into a new cul-de-sac, Wednesday, August 2), about the closure of Bromyard Road end of Boughton Avenue, surely the only reason for extra traffic is due to the work taking place in St John’s.
People complaining should try living in Tudor Way, a housing estate that once was a good place to live. This all changed when the bypass ended at Bransford Road and Bromyard Road. We have a school that is constantly in danger from large lorries, tractors, farm machinery and even 12 wheelers, with no regard for us unfortunate people who live adjacent to speed humps. What a laugh. Most of them do not even slow down when approaching the humps.
How the Temple Laugherne Farms at Broadheath managed to get access through this estate I will never know because it all has to pass Dines Green school.
We should stop spending money on widening roads and complete the ring road.
What is the point of half a ring road around Worcester?
All it does is make Tudor Way a rat run, not to mention a clogged up St John’s.
