SIR – So district judge Bruce Morgan has denounced gangs of Eastern Europeans (Worcester News, September 17) who come to the UK with the sole intention of “committing crimes against vulnerable people”.
Good for him for having the nerve to raise this, although he’ll probably be interviewed by the police on suspicion of committing a ‘hate crime’ as a result.
What, however, does Mr Morgan expect? Does he really expect only the ‘jolly nice types’ to come here and help old ladies to cross the road?
The simple fact is if you open your borders to half the planet you are bound to attract criminal elements.
To them it’s an open invitation to stroll in and help themselves, and that’s precisely what they are doing. We ain’t seen nothing yet.
