SIR - John Phillpott in his article about the use of "pro-active" comments that people should use English properly. Could he now encourage Worcester News journalists and printsetters to use English properly.
The necessity to repeat a story three times in the same article is mind-numbing, the grammatical errors frustrating, and if they are relying on the computer to spot spelling mistakes they need to remember the dictionary seems to be compiled by Americans, which is not quite English.
I do hope he can be persuaded to take up the cudgels on my behalf and get them to read some of his own or Chris Moncrieff's articles. Even when I don't agree with what is written, the way he composes his pieces makes them a pleasure to read.
MRS M TWIGGE,
Droitwich.
