SIR – Re: Mr Burgess – fox hunting advocate. Farmers/ gamekeepers having trouble with a fox can surely locate them and put a rimfire bullet in their head. There is no reason to terrorise and rip them to pieces. Alternatively, if your chickens are being stolen, spend some money and protect them with a decent fence. We have opposable thumbs – foxes cannot pick padlocks.
