SIR – I read with interest the article about the new development in Lowesmoor, Worcester, (Worcester News, July 2).
The £75 million redevelopment of Lowesmoor is to be called St Martin’s Quarter and it all sounds very exciting for an area of Worcester that always seems run down.
While I like the logo for the rebranding [the branding was developed by London-based graphic designers tothepoint], I cannot help but feel that the opportunity for a local graphic designer could have been made. We have some very good designers in Worcester – I speak from experience as our company deals with several of them on a weekly basis. On this note, I wonder how much council money has been spent on this branding? Perhaps somebody could enlighten me.
