SIR – It was really pleasing to see the transparency with which our local (Tory) MPs all disclosed quite willingly and openly the expenses they claimed last year (Worcester News, July 22).
I was so touched and heartened that our MPs have not succumbed like the rest of us into being pressurised to make sacrifices and do without because of the present state of finances.
Well done, chaps. We knew you could buck the trend and show that there’s still a good life to be had – if you’re an MP anyway.
