SIR – Why do so-called supporters spend good money to travel and watch Worcester City Football Club play, then abuse them?

Of course it was a pity that we lost 2-1 to Godalming in the FA Cup (Worcester News, October 3).

Could these verbal hooligans do better? The players should not be abused.

These gentlemen of foul words are not supporters.

I was happy to be part of the set-up in the mists of the last century and one heard comments and laughter and great praise sitting in the dugout.

Most times unhappy comments are uttered by fair weather types.
