SIR – It was upsetting to read about the cruel treatment of raccoon dogs who are skinned alive in China for their fur to make Ugg boots (Worcester News, October 10).

Rabbits are also skinned alive to make fur items and trim on clothes that are sold in this country.

Real fur causes immense suffering to all animals in its production.

Please boycott all real fur and fur trimmed items.
