SIR – My thanks to Matthew Spring for enlightening me on my confusion over the two bridges at Diglis in Worcester (Worcester News, December 12).
I went over Diglis Bridge a few days after it opened.
The bridge over the old oil dock had not then been completed, so as I seldom have an opportunnity to visit Diglis it is not suprising I got confused.
It is gratifying to know that the cycling/pedestrian bridge is being used as intended, but here’s hoping that the council and contractor soon come to an agreement over who pays for maintenance of Diglis Dock Bridge.
This is urgently needed to save pedestrians having to walk round the dock.
It is a something that should have been settled at the planning stage.
