SIR – Tony Pingree’s letter about Harriett Baldwin’s Newsnight interview with Jeremy Paxman (Worcester News, March 20) says as much about Tony’s stamina as the MP’s intellectual ability.
I admit giving up after her first reply but Tony had the patience to listen to the full interview and make notes. I wish I knew how he did it.
He is, however, too harsh on her. Although it helps, she is not an MP because of her ability to talk nonsense.
Her strong point is the meaningless photo opportunity.
When David Cameron came under fire for having too few women MPs, she was volunteered to be seen walking into a conference hall with him.
Not only was she able to walk in step but she was able to talk at the same time. Her political future is assured.
