SIR – In response to the worried resident (Graham Hill) who has been having problems with parking in his street (Worcester News, March 7).
We in the Labour party have conducted a city-wide survey of parking with residents in the city, with myself canvassing local opinion in St Clement’s ward.
These problems are complex and cannot be resolved overnight, as the actual decision-making on highways is a county council responsibility.
However, I’m sure we can come to some sort of resolution through working together.
To Councillor [Simon] Geraghty; these problems may seem trivial, but to those of us trying to get on with our lives in these difficult times, these things can cause misery. Coun Geraghty has obviously lost touch with ordinary people.

Labour party candidate for St Clement's in Worcester, Worcester CLP youth officer
