SIR – Re your article ‘Sports ground rescue goes into extra time’ (Worcester News, March 23).
Is this good news regarding the Cinderella sports ground?
Over the years Worcester has lost a lot of its wonderful history, buildings and various well-established companies.
I grew up in Wadborough and we lads had some great nights out in the wonderful city. I have played on the Cinderella ground quite a few times when playing against the Cinderella football team.
I played in goal for Stonehall United. It was great to change in a proper building not in the cages at Perdiswell or chicken houses at some local grounds.
Let’s hope this wonderful building and grounds are saved for the Worcester people.
