SIR – We know that the Con- Dem Government wants to drive down living standards for workers while their rich supporters get richer.
We know the Labour Opposition would not reverse the cuts or end the pay freeze for public sector workers.
To offer voters an alternative the Trade Unionist and Socialist Coalition (TUSC) will stand candidates in local elections.
In London the TUSC is standing for the Greater London Assembly.
Our candidates include leading trade unionists from the Rail Maritime and Transport Union, the Fire Brigades Union and the Public and Commercial Services Union. In Worcester we intend to stand as many candidates as we can.
