SIR – I wish to pass on my congratulations to all the people who have been involved in making Worcester’s marvellous new library and history centre such a huge success.
The Hive is already one of the city’s most popular attractions as far as my family is concerned – and it hasn’t even officially opened yet.
My two young daughters and I attended the open day in March, featuring the breathtaking 12 Moves dance performances, then the literature festival taster a few weeks later, followed by the music festival preview last weekend.
Each event not only gave us the chance to explore a bit more of this incredible building, but allowed us to experience another aspect of Worcestershire’s fantastic arts and entertainment scene. I expect we will spend many more happy hours in the Hive – especially the amazing new children’s library, complete with its spectacular turret viewing platform – when it opens properly in July. We can’t wait.
