SIR – It is brilliant news that the Queen will be officially opening the Hive on July 11 (Worcester News, May 1) and that her Diamond Jubilee commemorative medals are to be supplied by a county firm (Worcester News, May 1).
How fitting it would be if, in the same year, the Faithful City, where the first and final battles of the civil war took place, could be granted the right to have a Lord Mayor.
