SIR – It is good to see that airport-style security will be used at the 2012 London Olympics to combat terrorists causing havoc at the Games.
Not so good is that the public will be ripped off at the food and drink outlets inside the stadiums.
Some of the outrageous charges are bottled water with a 540 per cent increase on shop charges, a 500ml bottle of Coca-Cola has a 113 per cent increase, a bottle of 330ml Heineken has a 320 per cent increase, while cod and chips will start at £8 and a curry at £8.50. People are going to the Games to enjoy it and support Team GB.
They should not be ripped off like this.
