SIR – According to Tom Edwards (Worcester News, July 2), Worcester City Council have made spending cuts of about £1.4 million over the last two years, but they had to write off approximately £300,000 in unpaid taxes from the public.
What a good job it is that 98 per cent of the taxes owed to the council were collected.
It is good to know that the majority of rate-payers are reliable.
