SIR – For the third time in as many weeks we have an achingly politically correct statement from West Mercia Police who “will not tolerate hate crime and will deal robustly with any reports of racism in our communities” (Worcester News, July 4).
Might I remind West Mercia Police they are the servants of all law-abiding council taxpayers in this city.
So I look forward to a statement amended to the effect that should I get assaulted or burgled they “take all crime seriously and will deal robustly with reports of any crime in our communities”.
A bit less grandstanding and a bit more of what they are paid to do would be a start.
