SIR – It is a welcome sight to see that worcester city council has slashed car parking charges in order to attract more people into the city centre (Worcester News , July 31).
I used to be a regular visitor to the city for shopping and the nightlife but with the high charges to park I had to stop.
Now with a more realistic tariff, hopefully I will find it beneficial to be able to afford to park and visit far more often.
I think all will agree this is what is needed in the present climate with people having to watch their pennies.
Hopefully other local councils will follow suit.
