SIR – It was a joy to see 60 youngsters from Worcester Operatic and Dramatic Society (WODYS ) aged eight to 18 give such a professional performance of Me and My Girl at the Swan Theatre in Worcester.
Produced by the chairman David Humphries in WODYS’ 30th year, the leading players Jack Lupton and Felecity Holehouse led a cast who defied their age.
I thoroughly enjoyed every minute of the show, but outstanding for me was the Lambeth Walk which enjoyed tremendous applause and was only curtailed by the curtain fall at the interval.
It was all credit to the production team and musical director.
No wonder this show, like its predecessors, was a sell-out.
