SIR – I was pleased to see a receptacle for cigarette stubs and chewing gum by the splash pad in Gheluvelt Park.
Presumably there are others in various locations within the city.
Why litter louts have to drop it I shall never know, but I hope this latest innovation will help them to mend their ways if that is possible.
