SIR – I am an OAP of 75. I now live on £250 a week with no savings and no assets.
When the coalition Government – all of whom are multi-millionaires – reduces my winter heating allowance from £200 to £150 (as it did last November), I am not a very happy bunny.
Why can’t our Conservative and Lib Dem MPs give at least half their multi-millions to help our present financial mess? They tell me to tighten my belt as they scoff their caviar. Christ said: “You cannot serve both God and money.” I trust vicars far more than I trust MPs.
