SIR – Your follow up article on Allah Ditta ’s recent behaviour raises even more questions about this affair.

Mr Ditta’s bill and his vile tirade against a grieving family raise valid and public questions about what the details of this supposed work are. What exactly was the work, Mr Ditta?

Give us dates and details because this is now in the public domain, and you are still a public official with high standards to maintain, in both your public and private life.

I am certain that if I or any other resident of our fair city received a bill for unknown work which was unquantified we would not pay it, and demand specifics.

Which brings up another point raised by Councillor Simon Geraghty – Allah Ditta was acting in a “personal capacity” – so that’s fine is it?

So as long as a conservative public official only behaves appallingly in their own time towards a grieving family in our own community, that’s all right then?

So that’s the official party view in all cases?

My belief has always been that even when not at work, you represent your employer (that motto has always applied to school pupils too).

Obviously Councillor Geraghty believes differently.

Not a good example to set our young, is it?
