SIR - I can't understand why Simon Gardner (Worcester News, December 22) thinks my letter was a thinly-veiled piece of propaganda.
Of course, I am trying to promote veganism.
Hunger kills one child every five seconds.
Millions of people go hungry every day and the problem is increasing.
Environmentalists predict famine on an unprecedented scale, and addiction to meat is one of the reasons.
Producing meat is inefficient - it takes 100,000 litres of water to produce one kg of beef but just 1,000 litres to produce on kg of wheat.
