A MASK wearing man threatened a city takeaway shop owner demanding a quantity of cash.

The attempted robbery took place at Pizza Allegro, in Cranham Drive, Warndon, at around 10pm on Tuesday, July 14.

The man entered the takeaway, threatened the owner with the knife and demanded the cash, before leaving the premises on a bicycle.

The man is described as being white, 5ft 9ins, and was wearing a medical face mask and a black and red hat.

DC Abi Thomas of Worcester CID said: "This is believed to be an isolated incident and thankfully, no one was injured.

"The investigation is on-going and we are appealing for any witnesses as well as to anybody who may have footage of the incident from their CCTV or dashcam.

“If you have any information, no matter how insignificant it may seem, please call us on 101, quoting incident number 762 of July 14."
