A POPULAR pub in Bransford has opened its doors this week for the first time since it was severely damaged during flash flooding in the region earlier this year.

The Fox Inn in Bransford - part of the Chef & Brewer collection of welcoming country pubs - has benefitted from a full restoration following the widespread flooding in Worcestershire earlier this year. Nestled on the bank of the River Teme, the Fox Inn has been an historic feature on the riverside since 1884.

Alan Dearden, general manager at the Fox Inn, said: “I am delighted with the new look at the Fox Inn. It’s a fantastic pub in a thriving part of Worcester and having lived in the area most of my life, I am excited to welcome the local community to come and enjoy the pub again."

As well as an interior restoration, the pub has introduced a new menu which will offer a range of dishes including gourmet pies, hand-picked seasonal specials alongside cask ales and expertly-paired wines. As well as opening for eat-in diners, the pub will also provide a click and collect takeaway service, available to order by calling the pub, through the website or Greene King’s Order & Pay app.

Chef & Brewer collection is managed by Greene King, the UK’s leading pub company and brewer.

In response to the Coronavirus pandemic, all Greene King managed pubs follow a set of Pub Safe promises, designed to protect the welfare of team members as well as ensure that customers can socialise safely.

The Pub Safe scheme centres around hygiene and safety.
