THERE has been one new coronavirus related death recorded across Worcestershire's hospitals after three were reported on Friday.

The latest figures, announced by the NHS today (February 20), show one new coronavirus related deaths recorded at the Worcestershire Acute Hospitals NHS trust, bringing its total to 744, while there were no further death recorded in the Worcestershire Health and Care NHS Trust, with its total remaining at 56.

In total, there have been 800 Covid-19 deaths in county hospitals.

A further 307 people, who tested positive for the coronavirus (Covid-19) have died, bringing the total number of confirmed reported deaths in hospitals in England to 81,046.

Patients were aged between 16 and 100 years old. All except four (aged 16 to 68 years old) had known underlying health conditions.

The date of death ranges from January 12 to February 19.

Their families have been informed.

The Acute Hospitals Trust covers Worcestershire Royal Hospital, Evesham Community Hospital as well as the Alexandra Hospital in Redditch and Kidderminster Hospital.

The Health and Care NHS trust covers community hospitals and rehabilitation wards, including Worcester City Impatient Unit, Malvern Community Hospital, Evesham Community Hospital, Pershore Community Hospital, the Princess of Wales Community Hospital in Bromsgrove, Tenbury Community Hospital and the Wyre Forest Ward.
