A FOUL-MOUTHED drunk who swore at ambulance staff, exposed his genitals and made public threats will now be put on a tighter leash.

Kirils Jefimovs, of no fixed abode, has made a nuisance of himself in Evesham with his drunken antics, urinating in public, abusing shop staff, shouting and staggering in and out of traffic.

Patience finally ran out for West Mercia Police and the criminal justice system when the 37-year-old pest was slapped with a criminal behaviour order (CBO) at Kidderminster Magistrates Court on Thursday.

The order, which lasts for two years, places draconian restrictions on him in order to better protect the public from his persistent bad behaviour.

The CBO been put in place swiftly after the alarm was raised about the escalating problem he posed to the community.

A spokesman for West Mercia Police said: "The police have reacted swiftly in obtaining the CBO with Jefimovs only coming to police attention since early March 2021 due to the persistent and prolific nature in which he has displayed bad behaviour within Evesham that has caused significant alarm and distress to the community."

The CBO was made on the back of the convictions for drunk and disorderly which occurred on March 19 in Waterside, Evesham.

A police spokesman said: "He was shouting and swearing at ambulance staff and officers), outraging public decency on April 6. He urinated in a public place exposing his genitals in view of members of the public."

A section five public order offence also occurred on April 4. Police received reports he was running in and out of traffic shouting abuse at the public and threatening them, being abusive to shop staff in the One Stop shop and then walking in and out of traffic again shouting at the public.

For each of the offences he was fined £25.

The CBO bans him from behaving in any manner that causes or is likely to cause, alarm harassment or distress, whilst in a public place or a place to which the public have access whether on payment or otherwise and from refusing to leave a premises or area when asked by someone who has authority to do so.

Sgt Geraint Perkins of the Safer Neighbourhood Team in Evesham said: “This significant result is an example of the culmination of work by Evesham Patrol, Safer Neighbourhood and Anti Social Behaviour team officers and it is hoped that the convictions and CBO provides reassurance to local retailers, residents and the community that police will take positive action to make our communities safer."
