A 34-year-old man is due to be sentenced today for inflicting grievous bodily harm with intent.

At Worcester Crown Court two cases are listed for sentence before Judge Nicholas Cole - that of Gavin Barratt and Michael Pugh.

Barratt of Yazor Road, Hereford is due to be sentenced for grievous bodily harm with intent.

Collette Bedford of Lygon Walk, Worcester, is due in court accused of speeding in Rainbow Hill in Worcester and failure to give information as to the identity of a driver suspected of an offence.

The 34-year-old is accused of speeding in a BMW in Rainbow Hill towards Blackpole on September 21 last year.

Jonathan Bain, 33, of Oscott School Lane, Birmingham is scheduled to answer a charge of speeding on the M5 on September 23 last year.

Ian Hobbs, 55, of Westminster Road, Kidderminster, is set to appear on a charge of speeding in Belbroughton on September 16 last year.

Meanwhile a driver from Hereford - 26-year-old Gary Lock of Kittys Lane, Norton Canon, Hereford is due up for having tyres with insufficient tread on October 6 last year.

Patrick Mochan, 30, of Milfraen Avenue, Nantyglo, Ebbw Vale, Gwent faces a single charge of driving on the M5 near Worcester while not wearing a seatbelt.

The offence is alleged to have taken place on September 17 last year between junctions 7 (Worcester South) and 6 (Worcester).
