THE man shot by armed police during a dramatic stand-off remains in hospital.
Police were called to Ronkswood Hill, off Newtown Road on the morning of Saturday, October 2 after reports of a person in a car with a firearm.
A 31-year-old man was arrested on suspicion of criminal damage and possession of a firearm with intent to cause fear of violence after being shot in the leg by a police officer.

The Independent Office for Police Conduct previously confirmed that the man had sustained "serious but not life threatening injuries".
And a spokesman from the IOPC has since confirmed that the man remains in hospital under police custody.
West Mercia Police has not yet confirmed to the Worcester News whether the man has been charged.
The matter has been referred to the IOPC which will carry out an investigation into the incident and the discharge of a police firearm.
